BIG... VEGAN?

Jacob kept talking about how much he wanted a double veggie burger. I usually don't eat "double" anything, but he seemed to really be craving it. So we went shopping yesterday for the stuff to make a double veggie burger dinner. While we were shopping, I decided we needed to make some vegan thousand island dressing for it, and we needed some cheese, and some lettuce... pretty soon we had:

Vegan Bigmac!

Vegan Bigmac take two
Two all vegan patties, special Vegan sauce, lettuce, daiya cheese, pickles, onions, all on an organic onion bun!

Hahaa. I hate...THAT fast food restaurant, I really do, but this WAS SO GOOD. I used Gardenburger Flame Grilled burgers and Daiya cheese. I made the Thousand Island by mixing (Reduced fat!) Vegenaise with ketchup and sweet relish.

I'm not kidding when I say this was probably the best veggie burger I have ever had. There is no excuse to buy cruelty filled burgers with this baby around!

Oh... and there are spicy sweet potato fries on the side.

I just found your blog and I want you to know that I love it. I went vegan at the end of September after AGES of reading about everything relating to it. I had tried it in high school and it didn't work out for me while living at home. But anyway, I started looking for blogs about the vegan food experience, and I appreciate yours. A lot.

This is seriously AMAZING. I must try this soon. I haven't had a really good veggie burger in a long time, and this totally has be craving one.

Where can you buy Daiya cheese? Do they sell it at Whole Foods?

Wow, that looks revoltingly unhealthy and decadent. I can't wait to make my own!

gardenburger flame grilled patties are superior to all other varieties that try to mimic hamburgers. my husband thinks they taste like fast food. heh <3
